These Membership Terms & Conditions (“Terms of Membership”) govern your participation in the tiered membership system of The Refined Home (“TRH”, “we”, “us”, “the Realm”). By joining any tier — from The Marked to The Ascended — you agree to the rites, rules, and responsibilities listed below.

These terms exist so that the Realm may remain orderly, its rituals honoured, and its summoners properly recognised.

1. THE LINEAR PATH OF ASCENSION

Membership tiers within The Refined Home follow a canonical, linear progression.

1.1 Standard Pathway
All summoners begin their journey at the point they select — but ascension always moves up the chain, in one direction only:

The Marked → The Initiated → The Chosen → The Consecrated → The Ascended (invite-only)

1.2 Beginning at Higher Tiers
A summoner may begin at any paid tier (e.g., initiating oneself as Chosen or Consecrated).
However:

Even if one enters at a higher tier, ascension still follows the path.
This means a Chosen summoner who wishes to pursue enlightenment must first be recognised as Consecrated before attempting to reach The Ascended.

1.3 Ascended Tier
Entry into the Ascended is by invitation only, granted solely by the Ether and the Council.

2. RENEWAL LOGIC & MEMBERSHIP CHARGES

2.1 Monthly Renewal
All tiers renew monthly on the summoner’s original binding date.

2.2 The Marked Tier (Free Tier)
Though The Marked carries no monetary cost, it is still treated as a legitimate membership requiring monthly renewal.

This renewal signifies:

  • continued presence in the Realm

  • ongoing recognition by the Ether

  • maintenance of one’s bond

The Marked is not a casual waypoint — it is a legitimate tier of belonging that must be honoured.

2.3 Failed Renewal
If a renewal cannot be processed (due to failed card, expired payment method, etc.), access to tier benefits may be suspended until the bond is restored.

3. GIFTING RITES & GIFTING RESTRICTIONS

3.1 Who May Gift and Receive
All summoners — regardless of tier — may gift or be gifted through scrolls, artefacts, or other ceremonial items of the Realm.

3.2 Nature of Gifts
Gifts may be:

  • bestowed by the Realm (tier-based benefits)

  • purchased or invoked by another summoner on behalf of their kin

3.3 No Refunds on Gifts
All gifts, scrolls, sacred artefacts, and chamber items summoned through membership are final and non-refundable.
The Ether does not reverse a ritual once invoked.

4. REFUND RULES FOR MEMBERSHIP & RITUAL ITEMS

4.1 Membership Fees
Membership fees — including renewals — are non-refundable.

4.2 Ritual Items & Summoned Artefacts
Items obtained through membership interactions (including but not limited to: scrolls, keys, gifts, chamber currency redemptions) cannot be refunded.

4.3 Why No Refunds?
Once a summoning is accepted:

  • the ritual occurs,

  • the Ether shifts,

  • the exchange is complete.

Refunding the sacred would compromise the Realm’s structure.

5. ACCESS RESTRICTIONS

Access to specific areas, rites, and benefits of the Realm is determined strictly by your current tier.

Examples include:

  • cart access

  • scroll eligibility

  • chamber currency usage

  • early access windows

  • exclusive artefacts

  • rituals reserved for higher orders

The Marked may wander the antechamber.
The Initiated may step into the first halls.
The Chosen may cross thresholds closed to others.
The Consecrated may touch the deeper flame.
The Ascended alone see beyond the veil.

TRH reserves the right to modify, expand, or refine tier restrictions at any time to preserve the structure of the Realm.

6. PERKS, GIFTS & BENEFIT CONDITIONS

Tier benefits — including seasonal gifts, artefact drops, or ceremonial surprises — are bound to specific conditions:

6.1 The Marked

  • Eligible for digital whispers and guidance only.

  • No physical gifts until ascension to Initiated.

6.2 The Initiated

A gift may manifest only if both criteria are met:

  • The subscription is active

  • A qualifying order of £60+ has been placed

6.3 The Chosen

A curated artefact or gift may be summoned when:

  • The subscription is active

  • A qualifying order of £120+ is placed

6.4 The Consecrated & Ascended

These tiers receive gifts, artefacts, invitations, or rituals as determined by the Ether.
Conditions will vary but always follow the logic of:

  • active membership

  • a qualifying offering of £180

  • seasonal announcements

6.5 Benefit Inheritance & Gift Isolation


Benefits of the Realm accumulate as a summoner ascends through the tiers; however, gifts do not.
Each tier receives only the physical gifts, artefacts, and ceremonial offerings designated specifically for that tier.
Blessings granted to a lower tier are not inherited upward, nor replicated for those who walk higher paths.

7. CURRENCY OF THE REALM — MOR & MOE

The Realm utilises two sacred currencies:
Marks of Ether (MOE) and Marks of Refinement (MOR).

7.1 Marks of Ether (MOE)

MOE are the Ether’s merciful currency — the cheat sheet, the generous path.

  • Summoners earn 1 MOE for every £1 spent

  • MOE can be used in the Chamber of Ether

  • MOE allows summoners to redeem scrolls, artefacts, or collectibles at Etherised rates

  • MOE is flexible, abundant, and influenced by the summoner’s journey

MOE = Influence.

7.2 Marks of Refinement (MOR)

MOR are the sacred grind, the Ether’s test of devotion.

  • At The Marked: 3 MOR per £1 spent

  • Higher tiers may earn at different rates, announced by the Realm

  • MOR cannot be influenced — it is pure ritual, pure merit

  • MOR governs ascension through tiers

  • Ascension thresholds must be met regardless of payment history

Ascension through MOR

  • The Marked → 300 MOR

  • The Initiated → 1,500 MOR

  • The Chosen → 4,500 MOR

  • The Consecrated → 10,000 MOR

  • The Ascended → 20,000 MOR

MOE = power through influence.
MOR = power through devotion.

Both flow, but only one leads to transcendence.

8. SCROLL REDEMPTION TERMS

Scrolls — whether Scrolls of Ether, Scrolls of Refinement, or ceremonial pass scrolls — each contain their own specific terms and conditions.

By redeeming a scroll, you agree to its individual rules as listed on its page.

9. CHANGES TO MEMBERSHIP TERMS

TRH may refine, update, or expand these Membership Terms at any time.
Continued membership signifies acceptance of the latest version.
